Every year, Motion Recruitment’s event series, Tech in Motion, hosts the Timmy Awards, honoring the best places for tech professionals to work. Through the Timmy Awards, we asked tech professionals to lift their companies and managers up by telling us why they are deserving of recognition.

It's innovative founders recently raised a large round of funding, and claim to have an advantage over competing solutions in that it's product is "Policy as Code", allowing for remediation and automation.

Epsoft Inc. (Dallas)

This intelligent business automation platform is making waves in the Dallas tech scene by improving the human experience through technology. According to Epsoft's nomination, the company's goal is to "elevate human potential" through data science, robotics automation and workflow optimization. In reaction to Covid-19 they even created a new platform to help companies safely move essential workers back into physical work spaces.

Thrive Market (LA)

A well-known name in the health foods space, Thrive Market leverages data science to offer it’s customers access to the healthiest and affordable foods from all over. Phenom (Philadelphia)

Phenom, “the most powerful talent experience platform”, hails from Philadelphia. The company took a customer-centric response to COVID-19 and quickly developed an array of add-ons and offerings free of charge, including a notifications bar, customizable COVID-19 FAQ drop down, chatbot and remote wellness resources to name a few.

Best Tech Workplace for Diversity

SADA (LA/Toronto)

SADA is a global leader in cloud technology services, and is a finalist in multiple awards categories in Tech in Motion’s LA and San Francisco Bay Area chapters. The company’s community-centric and people-focused culture includes values like inclusivity, creativity and wellness.

Sertifi (Chicago)

A Best Tech Work Culture finalist in Chicago, Sertifi is a secure and efficient platform for doing business. At the beginning of the pandemic, the Sertifi People Team and the Employee Advisory Committee developed programs dedicated to keeping team members engaged virtually from home through group activities and volunteer projects. What really stands out from their nomination is this, “Everyone at Sertifi has a voice”.

Rokt (New York)

“Rokt makes e-commerce smarter, faster and better.” In these times when we rely on the digital world, companies like Rokt innovate and pivot to offer solutions to our everyday challenges. The NYC-based tech company prides itself on an exceptional work culture. They call their employees Rock’tstars and believe company and cultural growth comes from personal growth of their employees.

Best Tech Manager

Grainger (Chicago)

Grainger’s Senior Principal Data Scientist, Fouad Bousetouane, is up for the Timmy’s individual leadership award. According to his team, Faud leads with kindness and by example to cultivate a positive work environment. He is known for his “constant technical guidance” and “passion for the product”.

Mobiquity (Philadelphia)

A company created to “uncover friction to spark transformation”, this Philadelphia-based digital consultancy is a finalist for two Timmy Awards this year; Best Tech Workplace for Diversity and Best Tech Manager. Their VP of Creative, up for the manager award, seems to be leading the charge with innovation. Here’s what his colleagues have to say, “At Mobiquity, he leads the design of major international websites and apps, playing an integral role in UX strategy, visual/interaction design, and usability testing for web, mobile, and touchscreen experiences.”

Sophos

This cybersecurity company's motto is to "Predict. Adapt. Synchronize." The security and risk-management space is rapidly growing and Sophos is quickly scaling to meet the demand. CVS Health
